"Apple on Doily"

As I sat down this morning and started looking around the easle and house for something 'interesting' to paint, I remembered someone told me recently that an apple seemed like an 'academic' subject to paint, something a student would do.  I think it depends on 'how' you paint it, I like the overcast feel it has.

Mentre che mi sedevo stamattina e ho cominciato a cercare qualcosa interessante da dipingere intorno alla casa ed al cavalletto, mi sono ricordata che qualcuno mi aveva detto recentemente che una mela รจ un soggetto 'academico' da dipingere, qualcosa che farebbe uno studente.  Penso che dipende 'come' lo dipingi.   Mi piace la sensazione di coperto/nuvoloso che ha questa.
