An Alternative to Traditional Framing

An elegant algernative to traditional framing is to simply mount these paintings on a small wood support.  Here I have drilled a 1cm. hole and used a strong carpenter's adhesive to fix it to the back of the canvas panel.

These little tomatoes actually taste like what they're supposed to.  I just hope they're not full of dioxin!

It's been very hot these past few days, Spring has literally exploded.  Last night we had our first 'fresh' dinner with Bufala Mozzarella, green olives, cheese, bread, and these delicious tomatoes.

Sta facendo veramente tanto caldo in questi ultimi giorni, la Primavera è esplosa.  Ieri sera abbiamo cenato 'fresco' con Mozzarelle di Bufala, olive verdi, formaggio, pane e questi pomodori deliziosi.

Spring has finally sprung, I picked these flowers at Federica & Marcello's place down in Palliccio.  They have a nature trail on their property where anyone can go for a walk.  I'll return soon, it could be a great place to paint. 

La primavera è finalmente arrivata.  Ieri ho colto questi fiori da Federica e Marcello giù a Palliccio.  hanno un sentiero naturalistico dove chiunque può andare a fare una passeggiata.  Ritornerò presto, potrebbe essere un ottimo posto dove dipingere.

I saw these Beautiful pears the other day and said WOW, gotta hav'em.  My delusion when I got home and looked closer at the little origin sticker tag that read 'Argentina'.   Sh..! I never buy out of country fruit, but this time I fell for it!

Ho visto queste pere Bellissime l'altro giorno e ho detto WOW, devo prenderle.  La mia delusione quando sono arrivata a casa e ho letto l'adesivo d'origine: "Argentina". Ca...! Non compro mai frutta che non sia Italiana, ma stavolta sono cascata!

The strawberries are in town, and they are huge!  They don't taste like much though!

Eva & Paolo have a little garden Porchiano del Monte, along the walls.  It's full of narcissus so I stopped by yesterday afternoon to ask for a few "take all the ones you want", they said.

Eva & Paolo hanno un piccolo giardino lungo le mura di Porchiano del Monte.  E' pieno di narcisi, iere pomeriggio sono passata da loro per chiederne qualcuno, "prendi tutti quelli che vuoi", hanno detto.

I bought some flowers yesterday.  I like their strong/artificial colour and size.  They must be pumped with hormones.

It's very foggy outside this morning, everything is under a grey cloudy light.  It makes it easier to see colour.

E' molto nebbioso fuori stamattina, tutto è avvolto in una luce grigia nuvolosa. E' piu facile vedere i colori.
