"Little Apple in Oak Wreath"

Yesterday we were invited to Christmas dinner at my friend Marianne's house.  I thought of making a little centerpiece wreath with the tree clippings from around Porchiano but the outcome looked like a mouse's funerary wreath!  I saw it this morning and added the apple to the center.

Ieri siamo stati invitati al pranzo di Natale a casa della mia amica Marianne.  Pensavo di fare una ghirlanda per il centrotavola con i ritagli degli alberi di Porchiano ma il risultato sembrava una ghirlanda funeraria per topolini!  L'ho visto stamattina e ho aggiunto la mela al centro.
