The nicest surprise about my trip to Verona was the Youth Hostel at Villa Francescatti. I highly recommend it to anyone of any age.  It is a villa originally from the 16th century, recently restored with an enchanting garden and beautifully kept. It is in quiet historical neighborhood overlooking the city and within walking distance to the center.  Private rooms with bathrooms are available too. 

 La cosa più bella del mio viaggio a Verona è stata quella di scoprire l'Ostello della Gioventu.  E' situata in una villa del 16° secolo, recentemente restaurata e con un giardino incantevole.  Non dista lontano dal centro storico.  Ci sono stanze con bagni privati anche.

Hope everyone had a Happy Easter if you celebrate it.  

 Here in Italy 'Easter Monday' or 'La Pasquetta' is equally important.  On a religious note: Easter Monday commemorates the risen Jesus’ meeting with his disciples on the day after he was resurrected, as mentioned in the bible.

 In Italy this is a day for families to enjoy a picnic in the countryside.  
All schools, banks and government offices are closed. 

Spero che tutti voi avete passato una bella Pasqua.

 Come tutti voi sapete Pasquetta è un momento per fare un picnic in campagna. Dove pensate di
andare quest'anno?

I had made little boxes filled with sketchbooks, watercolors, and a pencil and then set off to meet Yolanda and Jan from the Netherlands.

 Ho preparato delle scatoline con dentro dei album per disegnare, acquerelli e una matita poi sono andata ad incontrare Yolanda e Jan dai Paesi Bassi.
We found a nice spot along Porchiano del Monte's walls and set up our workshop there. Yolanda was inspired by the towns around Porchiano.  Jan really liked the towers. 
I gave them just a few pointers about drawing and watercolor and off they went!
It was so nice to see such enthusiasm and spend the morning in their company.

Abbiamo trovato un bel posto intorno alle mura di Porchiano del Monte e decisi di fare il laboratorio lì.  Yolanda si lascio ispirare dai paesini intorno.  A Jan gli erano veremente piaciuti i torri.  Gli ho dato qualche indicazione per disegnare ed usare gli acquerelli e sono partiti!
