Sunday at the Abbazia Sette Frati

 I spent last sunday at a Christmas market at the Abbazia Sette Frati in Pietrafitta, Piegaro which is about 20km. from Perugia.  

Participating in markets in Italy has its perks like being able to admire this 11th century structure.


If you're in the area it is worth a visit.

Lemons & Mandarines

This week was full of lemons and mandarines.  I like the simplicity of their form and bright warm colors.
I assembled 4 of them together, I like them together, and you?

Questa settimana era piena di limoni e mandarini.  Mi piacciono la loro semplicità di forma ed i loro colori caldi e luminosi.
Ho fatto una piccola composizione di quattro, mi piacciono insieme, e a voi vi piace?

End of October and Beginning of November Paintings

I hadn't posted paintings since the 28th of October, so here they are.  After the pomegranates had finished I saw these lovely little aubergines in my friends vegetable garden and couldn't resist.  This morning was the lemon's turn.

Pomegranates and Pomegranates

I came back from the FMLDesign OpenLab last sunday full of pomegranates.  So here I am.

Sono tornata dal OpenLab di FMLDesign domenica scorso piena di melograni.  Ecco mi qui.

"Mini Pomegranate on Doily"

I don't have any more large pomegranates.  I do have a mini pomegranate tree on my doorsteps.  Wasn't quite sure how this was going to look all by itself, I think it turned out sweetly.


Non ho piu melograni grandi.  Ho un melograno nano sui gradini di casa.  Non ero sicura di come sarebbe venuto il dipinto, penso che esprime dolcezza.  

I'm on a pomegranate trip...

 I'm on a pomegranat trip.  Friends have given me theirs or I've picked some.  
They're not quite ripe but I like their beauty.

 

Big Pomegranate Little Pomegranate

It's pomegranate season!  Picked these along the walls of Porchiano del Monte.  Ancient Egyptians reagarded this fruit as a symbol of prosperity and ambition.  I love it because of its' subtle colours.

E' tempo di melograni.  Ho colto questi intorno alle mura di Porchiano del Monte.  Gli antichi Egizi consideravano questo frutto come un simbolo di prosperità ed ambizione.
