"Field and Tree"

I've found a beautiful field and I will return to it every day I can.  This afternoon with Gemma and Daisy went by quickly with the pre-autumn wind blowing strongly.

Ho trovato un campo bellissimo e tornerò da lui ogni giorno che potrò.  Questo pomeriggio è passato velocemente con Gemma e Daisy ed il vento pre-autunnale che soffiava con forza.

Got around to painting a little late today.  The sun was high in the sky but I was fresh under the trees.

Avevo iniziato a dipingere tardi oggi.  Il sole era alto nel cielo ma io stavo nel fresco, all'ombra degli alberi.

Yesterday I was in a rush, so happy to have had the time to paint and return to the field I love.

Ieri ero di fretta, sono contenta di aver avuto tempo per dipingere e di ritornare al campo che amo così tanto.

There's this tree in the middle of a field going down towards Attigliano that I find simply beautiful at sunset.  This is the third time I've painted there recently.  
There were thunderstorms all around yesterday, the wind tossed around the clouds so quickly, I chased the colour around on the canvas, it was like playing tag!

C'è un albero nel mezzo di un campo che va giù verso Attigliano, lo trovo semplicmente bellissimo al tramonto.  E' già la terza volta che dipingo lì recentemente.  
Ieri c'erano dei temporali intorno, il vento sbatteva le nuvole di qua e di là.  Io rincorrevo il colore sulla tela come in un gioco di chiapparello!

I knew I wouldn't have had time yesterday evening to paint in the late afternoon so after lunch I decided to sit down at my table and paint.  Earlier in the morning, Luciano the weaver had given me some beautiful tomatoes from his vegetable patch. 

Sapevo che non avrei avuto tempo per dipingere ieri pomeriggio e così decise di sedermi al mio tavolo dopo pranzo e dipingere.  Luciano il tessitore mi aveva dato alcuni bellissimi pomodori dal suo orto. 

"Yesterday's Sunset in Fields"

It was such a hot and muggy day that I had waited until sunset to go outside and paint.  There is this field around Porchiano, the sun started to go down on the horizon, that's when the the colours become magical.

Era una giornata così calda ed affosa che avevo aspettato fino al tramonto per uscire fuori di casa e dipingere.  C'è un campo intorno a Porchiano, il sole iniziava a scenderedietro l'orizzonte, ecco il momento quando i colori diventano magici.

I wandered around the Campo Sportivo for a while until I settled on this row of trees as the sun started to light the treetops.

Ho vagato per il Campo Sportivo per un pò prima di trovare questa fila di alberi nel momento in cui il sole iniziasse ad illuminarli.

I wanted to paint with the morning light.  I walked onto the campo sportivo and looked around, nothing seemed to interest me and then I turned around and there it was, this tree.

Volevo dipingere con la luce di mattina.  Sono andata sul campo sportivo e mi sono guardata intorno, non c'era nulla che mi interesasse e poi mi sono girata ed eccolo lì, questo albero.

It's a beautiful morning.  The wind has been blowing for the last 2 days, feels like I'm at the beach with the rustling of the leaves sounding like waves crashing on the shore.

E' una mattina bellissima.  Il vento sta soffiando da 2 giorni e sembra che sto al mare, il rumore del vento nelle foglie assomiglia il suono delle onde del mare.
